Banner Hangers: No hang-ups !
Banners are the most oft-used and popular types of signage used today. They are inexpensive, easy to assemble and get the message across loud and clear. Among the many ways to hang up a sign are banner hangers, which are both convenient and cost-effective.
Banner hangers are cost effective and here’s why. They are lightweight, inexpensive, neat, subtle and attractive. They are usually made of aluminium or plastic; they are easy to assemble and, depending on your needs, you can easily change the banner several times a day without if necessary.
To gauge just how popular banner signs are, all you need to do is take a look around you. You see them on people’s front lawns, in shop windows, inside department stores, at trade fairs, practically everywhere. Take a closer look and holding up those signs are banner hangers.
The type of banner hanger you use will depend on the material the banner is made of. Most signage material is lightweight and is usually made of vinyl and cloth. Vinyl is the preferred material as it is easy to print on, including digitally, it is inexpensive, easy to roll up and store and is an all-weather type of material.
Trade shows use a variety of signage including table-top displays, point-of-purchase signs and, of course, banners. Take a look around at any trade show and you’re likely to see banners in every booth or stall.
Banner hangers make it easy to hang your signage from a pole at the back of the stall. This is achieved with an S-shaped hook that curves into the frame of the aluminium or plastic banner hanger and at the other end, onto the vertical pole anchored to the ground.
It takes only a couple of seconds to snap on the sign to the banner hanger. Just flip open the hanger and snap on the banner, and presto, your sign is ready to go up!
Since vinyl is cheap, a great surface to print on and lightweight—vinyl is available in varying thicknesses—the banner holder takes practically no weight. Hence it is no likely to give way, another reason why banner holders are cost-effective. You need to buy them only once and can re-use them as many times as you need to.
The banner can be used to get a message across in the conventional way or it can be used as a teaser advertisement. For instance, you might want to pique the curiosity of your customers by telling them to return a few hours later to “watch this space”.
This would mean a quick change of banners, which is not a problem at all if you use banner hangers. Hanging up your sign with rope or taping it to the back of your stall, on the other hand, is messy, it will most likely not do the job and look tacky.
A smart banner sign, which would include using smart banner holders, tells customers and clients you know what you’re doing and that you pay attention to the smallest details.
